Tip 1 – Hashtags

Use camel case (capital letters to start a new word) when using hashtags – like this:

#TheJanuaryChallenge

#EverydayCreativity

Tip 2 – Alt Text / Image Description

Use the Alt Text feature to add an image description to what you are sharing. An image description is a factual description of the photograph or graphic you are posting. ie – where an object is placed, it’s colour and what is surrounded by.

Tip 3 – Video Captioning

If sharing video content, be sure to add captions. Captions are the text form of any audio information, and most platforms will allow you to edit an automatically generated transcript!

Tip 4 – Audio Description

Audio description is a form of narration to describe the visual content of a video.

Try describing what is in the video – what you look like, where you are or what you’re doing.
