The Weekly Challenge

The Weekly Challenge, 25th March 2019 – An Exhibition of Ourselves

Life is full of all sorts of stories, adventures, ideas and experiences. We are made of memories – some distant, some that guide, inspire and motivate us, and many that haven’t yet been made. This week’s challenge invites you to think about the stuff that makes you…you! If you could choose 5 things that tell your story, what would you choose?
Create your own exhibition! Our site for creative activities has a special place for you to curate your own exhibition. Perhaps you want to showcase your art, poetry or photos, or maybe you just want to create a collection of things that mean something to you. If you’re a member of a group, together you may want to choose items which represent you all. You can display up to five items in your gallery – images, movies or words. Give your gallery and each exhibit a title. If you like, write a caption to explain a bit about each one. Want some inspiration? See the exhibitions of 64 Million Artists team members here: Jo, Laura, Chris, Jemima.

If you have more time …
Nominate somebody else to take part in this Challenge (even better if they don’t think of themselves as creative!) Get the people around you thinking and curating.

What does creativity mean to you and where do you find it? Was it easy to think of 5 things for your exhibition, or did it challenge you to reflect and think? Would your exhibition have been different 5,10,20 years ago?

Upload your exhibition following the simple instructions on the site here. Once you’ve uploaded, you can copy and paste the link anywhere you like! Alternatively, you can share your 5 things in person with the people around you. Find us on Social Media here:
