The Weekly Challenge, 20th May 2019 – Put Down Your Passion20th May 2019
64 Million Artists is lucky enough to welcome new team member Rosie on a paid work experience scheme through community arts organisation All Change. Rosie is 18 years old and graduated from a performing arts college in 2017. Her passion is music! She writes songs, raps and records her own music, and loves the performing arts as it lets her express herself. Rosie will be using her creativity to develop content for our dothinkshare.com site over the next 10 weeks so keep your eyes peeled for exciting things to come. Rosie is setting this week’s Challenge and hopes that you’ll feel inspired to put down your passion too.
Put down your passion and write! Think about the world you live in – what do you love, appreciate, feel inspired by? What would you change if you could, and how would you do it? What do you think would make the world a better place? Express your thoughts through words and music – share how you feel about the world. Your views are important and should be heard!
You could write a poem, spoken word piece, a rap or a song. Try not to spend too long writing – see what you come up with in 15 to 20 minutes, and write what comes to mind. You could write about anything from holidays, to culture, to family to…you! Share by recording your work on film, or by writing it down.
If you have more time …
Put music to your words/lyrics. It could be an instrument, an acoustic or instrumental beat from YouTube or your own voice.
Challenge a friend to voice their opinion on the world that they live in and see how different or similar your work is.
How do you choose to express yourself?
What motivates you in life?
What’s your favourite music memory?
Let’s hear your views! Share with Rosie and the rest of the 64 Million Artists team, and thousands of other Challengers across the country using #PutDownYourPassion #64MillionArtists
