The Weekly Challenge

The Weekly Challenge, 18th November 2019 – Autumn Days

It’s beginning to look a lot like…the middle of November! As we move through Autumn and start to see the signs of Winter, we are reminded of all of the habits, sights, sounds and smells that mark this time of year. This week’s Challenge from director and creative practitioner Emma Rucastle invites us to capture the season and all of the memories that come with it.

What does this time of year mean to you? Can you create something that captures those feelings and associations? This could be anything from a recipe, to a collage, to a sound, to a rainbow selection of Autumn leaves. Get creative! You could try a few different things and see what different feelings they inspire.

If you have more time …
Choose one item that reminds you of each of the seasons. What do you notice? What are the similarities? What are the differences?

Think                                                                                                                                                                                For some people autumn is a time of new beginnings and for others it is something of a closing. Did this week’s challenge make you realise anything new about this time of year?
