The Weekly Challenge

The Weekly Challenge, 15th February 2021 – Love Haiku

Expressing our love isn’t just for Valentine’s Day! This week we continue to spread the love with this challenge from The Daily Haiku.

The Daily Haiku is a daily creative work-out centred around Haiku writing and posting photographs, video and artwork. Set up in March 2020 in response to the first UK Lockdown, they now have 4,500+ worldwide members and are supported by Paper Nations UK, sharing their creativity on The Great Margin.

“Little Words, Big Ideas & Syllables For The Soul.”

Create a Haiku inspired by LOVE!
A Haiku is a poem of Japanese origin, consisting of three lines. The first line is five syllables, the second seven syllables, and the third is five syllables, a guideline not a rule – like this…

a cold, crisp morning
hand in hand we find the words
we need in the sand

Choose how you would like to present your Love Haiku.
You could write it, record it, illustrate it, photograph it, paint or collage it, anything goes!

If you have more time..

Gather ideas, images and words around LOVE…create more haiku, have fun and express your love in more ways than one!

What is love to you? What do you love? Who do you love? Why do you love something? What don’t you love?

Share your Haiku or keep it for yourself!
Why not spread the love by sending your Haiku by text, or in the post to a friend, neighbour or family member.
