The Weekly Challenge

The Weekly Challenge, 11th October 2021 – Something New

Sunday 10th October was World Mental Health Day and this week, adult education college City Lit are celebrating with the Mental Wealth Festival! This week we bring you a challenge inspired by their programme.

“The Festival will focus on ‘Positive Impact’, and ways to adapt to the changes in our relationships with ourselves, other people, work, home, and the communities in which we live. The festival will include stories and tools to help people recognise and respond to mental health issues with positive impact as we adapt and evolve in these extraordinary times.”

City Lit are running interactive taster courses throughout the week, introducing people to the therapeutic power of learning.

Do

Learn something new.

You could try something you’ve never done before. Or try a new way of using something.

Maybe you have always wanted to learn a new language or learn about plants, here is a sign to start! You could choose an ingredient you like to cook with and find a new recipe to use it in.

The possibilities are endless.

How will you capture what you have learnt? Maybe someone will learn something new from what you share with them.

If you have more time

Check out the City Lit taster courses and sign up to learn something new!
