WAY BACK BEFORE I WAS AT SCHOOL

What is a local historical landmark in your area? –
Day 25 Local Historian – #thejanuarychallenge @64millionartists –
Find out the story behind a local landmark or building and share in a creative way. Choose the first thing that comes to your mind – find out who built it, why it’s there, how old it is and any interesting facts you can!

The building opened its doors temporarily in 1905 as a council school and a permanent school built in 1909 as Goodmayes Infants School and Goodmayes Junior School. … The School was remodelled in 1962 and then from 7th January 1976 it became Goodmayes Primary School. Currently has 677 pupils. As you can see from the pictures there were separate entrances for boys and girls a sign of different times. I attended the school in 1990 until I was 11 and the school was mixed then everyone went into the school in the same entrances. It is one of 54 state funded primary schools in Redbridge.
