Day 23 of #TheJanuaryChallenge – Blackout poetry
Do: First find some text, maybe from an old book, a newspaper, or even a letter (this can be digital too). Now the fun part… black out most of the text but leave out certain words from certain lines to formulate a poem/creative sentence when you read as a page.
Think: Was there a pattern in the words that you didn’t black out? Did you pick them randomly or decide beforehand?
Share: Share your poetry with us- You can post it, just make sure you tag us @64millionartists or use the hashtags #TheJanuaryChallenge and #64MillionArtists so we can see your response! You can also send It to us privately on messages.
If you have more time: Start again, this time black out everything apart from every 10th word on the page. See what sentence that creates!
