The Weekly Challenge, 17th June 2019 – The Great Outdoors
.
Summer has arrived and it’s time to get outdoors! This week’s Challenge is set by the team behind Greenwich+Docklands International Festival – a free, annual, outdoor performing arts festival in Royal Borough of Greenwich, East London and, for the first time, the City of London. The festival showcases high quality work from around the globe, reflecting the places where it is performed and bringing communities together to celebrate difference in a spectacular way. There will be over 130 performances from artists from around the world, celebrating inclusivity, diversity and community in outdoor performances that are free and open for everyone to enjoy. The Festival kicks off with a glittering opening ceremony on the 21st June and runs until the 6th July – London folk, we’ll see you there! What else is happening around the country? Get in touch and let us know!
.
Get creative…outdoors! GDIF is all about inclusivity and community. All of the shows are as accessible as possible, many are interactive, and work to celebrate local spaces, places and people. With this in mind, they challenge you to get creative outdoors – can you cartwheel? Sing? Dance? Draw? Yarn bomb? Let your creative mind wander to an outdoor space near you and let us know about it! #GDIFestival #GDIF2019
.
Share your work with the Festival team, 64 Million Artists and thousands of Challengers across the country using #GDIFestival #GDIF2019 #64MillionArtists.
