#64millionartists The January Challengers Day 26: Make Sense. Take time to really enjoy one of your senses today and find a way to share the experience or feeling.
The Sound of Silence. I never have this, I’ve got a waterfall in my left ear which I didn’t used to mind too much as I found it quite calming, but then it got drowned out by the lawnmower that appeared some years later in my right. Now, there’s a trick you can do that gives you fleeting respite from the constant noise, and although it only lasts a few seconds for me, the elusive sound of silence is magical and to experience it, even momentarily, overwhelms me. Fellow tinnitus sufferers, if you haven’t tried this, give it a go and let me know if it works for you!
Place the palms of your hands over your ears so your fingers wrap around the back of your head.
Set your middle fingers on the top of your neck right at the base of your skull.
Put your index fingers on top of your middle fingers and apply pressure.
Now snap them on the back of your head over and over like you’re drumming.
Repeat it about 50 times.
Isn’t it amazing!
