The Weekly Challenge, 30th December 2019 – Spread the Word30th December 2019
We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas time, and are ready to see in the new year (and decade!)
The countdown is on! 2 days until the start of 64 Million Artists’ The January Challenge 2020 – 31 days of quick creative challenges to kickstart the creativity and wellbeing of thousands of people across the UK.
Your challenge this week (forgive the shameless plug…) is to…
Find a creative way to invite somebody to take part in The January Challenge 2020. You could send them a poem, you could sketch them an invitation, you could decorate a cake with The January Challenge logo…it’s up to you!
Here are some key things to remember for your invitation:
The January Challenge is free to sign up to at www.64millionartists.com. All the materials you might need should be easy to find (pens, paper, the contents of your recycling bin…your imagination!)
The January Challenge is yours to take part in, in a way that suits you. You could do 1 challenge, or 31 challenges. You can share your creative endeavours with your family, friends, colleagues, in a whatsapp group, on our Facebook page, on Twitter, Instagram – or you might choose not to share at all. You can see what other people are sharing online in the Facebook group or by following #TheJanuaryChallengeon social media.
You could do the challenges at work, at home, at school – on the bus! Sometimes people will save up their favourite ideas from the week and do them with friends or at a meeting.
It’s about having fun and giving it a go. Challenges are designed to inspire creative thinking and action which means that there is no right or wrong way to respond.
The challenges are crowdsourced from individuals, communities and organisations across the country.
You might even want to use our ‘Pass it on Pack’ to help you. Here you will find the logo, plenty of graphics, posters, suggested tweets and an e-invite.
And for some inspiration, here is a poem that Challenger Ben shared on twitter this week to invite his followers to sign up:
Freelancers in libraries, people in flats,
Factory workers & those sat with cats,
Families at home & CEOs
Businesses, hospitals, councils (& crows?!)
Writing, making, seeing anew,
Creativity is for you, you and YOU!
What are your creative ambitions for 2020? Capture them and keep them alive!Think
