The Weekly Challenge, 19th August 2019 – #AllAgesAugust19th August 2019
This August, United for All Ages is celebrating intergenerational action to improve care, housing, health and learning while addressing loneliness, ageism and division in our society. For the very first #AllAgesAugust, festivals, fetes, sports days, holidays and play days that get older and younger people together are being shared online using the hashtag. Share your own intergenerational fun using #AllAgesAugust, and find more inspiration and ways to get involved here.
To celebrate #AllAgesAugust, this week’s Challenge from United for All Ages is to get together, and get creative.
Get creative with, or inspired by somebody from a different generation. Who do you know that’s older or younger than you? You could make music, food or art. You could tell stories, or create your own together. You could visit a park, museum or cinema – the choice is yours, and anything goes! What experiences can you share and create together?
If you have more time …
93 year old David Attenborough and 16 year old Greta Thunberg are united by their activism against climate change. Who or what inspires you about another generation? Can you create a piece of art that captures what inspires you?
#AllAgesAugust is a campaign that addresses loneliness, ageism and division in our society. How could you reach out to, or support somebody older or younger than you throughout August and beyond?
Share with United for All Ages, the 64 Million Artists team and thousands of Challengers across the country using #AllAgesAugust #64MillionArtists.
