Catching up on #TheJanuaryChallenge again. Going to leave Day 16 for a bit. I wrote a story but wasn’t sure if I wanted to share it, so here’s Day 17 for now: take a photograph to capture your mood. I took it quite literally.

The prompt for today’s #thejanuarychallenge #64millionartists was to make up a game. I search of inspiration I type “how to make up a game” into a search engine and its fuzzy search logic thinks I mean “make up game app”. I think mmmm maybe there could be something interesting in one of these games so I download a few and give their gender politics makes me delete them all in disgust. I then see a “punk girl” make up on the list and the first stage in the game is to – wait for it – wash herself in the bathroom because “even punk girls need to get clean”. Urgh. But I think I might be onto something with the punk thing and I’m feeling quite angry so I search punk and find quite an interesting photo editing app called “Pentocam”. I can’t bring myself to put a pentogram on my face, so I choose an infinity sign can become my make up on one of the shots I took for the challenge yesterday. #infinity
Day 19 Art task…Draw the view over your right shoulder using your opposite (non-dominant) hand. Drawing of acrylic painting I did in 2014 of Norwich Quaker Meeting House garden silhouetted in full moon…
Taking part in this year’s @64millionartists January Challenge. Day 19: Over my shoulder
OK so I am only just drawing this now but almost certainly this is what I see over my right shoulder when I come to first thing, blearily making coffee and wondering where my mug is. Aha! It’s by the sink… Sign up here: www.dothinkshare.com/sign-up/
Right page non dominant hand. Left page dominant hand. Apologies not over my shoulder. It’s been a tough week of poorly chest infected son and crazy busy work. I just loved stopping, looking, relaxing and taking in my view. Hubster got bored part way through and left for a shower. Hope you like.
Day 18 of @64#TheJanuaryChallenge Invent your own game. The #Haslingden Toddler Rhyme Time group invented an Elmer game after reading stories. Roll the dice and colour a square of Elmer with the colour you received. 3 year old Evaline loved playing the game.
Day 19 of @64M_Artists#TheJanuaryChallenge “draw with your non-dominant hand the first thing you see over your right shoulder”. #Haslingden staff and customers had fun having a go. Here’s local history expert Michael with his drawing.
#Challengeday19 #64millionartists #TheJanuaryChallenge Left hand and right hand over the shoulder. I found the over the shoulder aspect of this challenge the most difficult. It was quite disorientating trying to figure out scale and angle for both hands!
