Liked seeing/ making the expression develop ... probably with my doctor, "Le medecin eclair," in mind -- but again, no planning. My sister's likeness, not totally "subconscious," but entirely unpremeditated. Each mark or stroke determined the next, I was just keeping the whole active & balanced, as in design class. The last one actually had a "model," a library patron waiting at the door. There was no one else around, so I focused on him for a few seconds -- then he left.
