Day 29: Re-do your favourite. I liked them all and had great fun doing them all. I laughed the most during the body music task and still laugh when I watch my videos. However, creating something using one A4 paper was one of my favourites. So here is another image I've created. :) Catching up with Saturday's task for #thejanuarychallenge, which was to leave a gift for a stranger. I have hidden this handmade otter greetings card in an otter-related book at one of our local libraries (though now that I've told instagram about it, it's not exactly well-hidden anymore) I like the idea that I can pop back in and check whether or not it's still there. I'll let you know when it disappears! ... And then I can borrow the book as well, because I haven't read it, and it looks great! #64millionartists #randomactsofkindness #secretgift #otter #ottersofinstagram #handmadecard Day 28: Norfolk is none of the few places I have found in England where peaceful solitude is possible. Sunset on River Thurne near Martham Ferry. I'm catching up from the weekend! This is the Humber Bridge, near where I live. Hull is a lovely area, if much maligned! We've been in the public eye more than ever recently as the City of Culture and it has changed the self-image of the city as well as challenging misconceptions. Day 28 rewind to I spy I think it was Day 23 which I didn't have chance to do but wanted to. Cats ! 2 on the bed, 1 in my window, 1 on a table and 1on the sitting room wall. #thejanuarychallenge #64millionartists #marbles Day 29 rewind... do something new... im trying to use my oil pastels without getting too messy... started this a couple of days ago Day 29: Rewind Day 29: Rewind @64M_Artists #64MillionArtists #TheJanuaryChallenge Day 29: Rewind @64millionartists #64millionartists #thejanuarychallenge Day 29. Cheered her up #thejanuarychallenge - day 29 "rewind" - today I had to re-do my favourite one of the previous challenges. I've chosen building a castle... When my son was younger I got into the habit of saving these cardboard inserts (used to package electrical appliances) and I still seem to have quite a number of them squirrelled away. They make great castles for Lego minifigs... This one even gave my beer can boat from day 14 a destination! #castlebuilding #cardboardpackaging #wastenotwantnot #recycling #cardboardboxtoys Day 29 - Rewind It's Monday and not a lot of time, so going for the quick fun of BLACKOUT POETRY Everything's new ...it's magical magical magical so special and sweet and loving and beautiful the world is suddenly transformed The Moon is full Was exploring san fransico when the poem prompt was givin and im busy again so no drawning yet. #markiplier #art #poem #thejanuarychallenge #64millionartists #tewind #picture #photo #photography #yourewelcome #tour Was exploring San Fran when we did the poem prompt so it's a pic. #TheJanuaryChallenge #64MillionArtists #rewind #markiplier #poem #picture #image #art #tour #YourWelcome Day 29 Rewind, pick a favourite task and do it again. Yikes...decided on poetry but decided to actually do the whole poem. This is one composed on a frosty morning walk. It's Japanese haiku so three lines, 5 syllables, 7 syllables then 5 syllables again. Photo from the walk Autumn lingered, then Overnight winter arrived Frost, snow, sleet and ice. More word art and quotes for me for @64M_Artists #TheJanuaryChallenge Day 29. Chekhov (born on this day in 1860) "If you want to work on your art, work on your life." It was an easy decision for me which task to revisit - any chance to play with the word art app some more! So, here's a quote from Anton Chekhov, who was born on January 29th 1860. "If you want to work on your art, work on your life." A postcard for your town #thejanuarychallenge #64millionartists. Very easy to do because I live in such a picturesque place, that is a prime tourist destination already This is a photo of Wentworth Falls at dawn - taken on a day where we happened to wake up early and decided to go on an adventure to see the sunrise. It is traditionally the land of the Gandangara people and "there is a rocky knoll that has a large number of grinding grooves created by rubbing stone implements on the rock to shape and sharpen them. These marks have been determined to be signs of early human habitation nearby." as described on wikipedia. There land extends 11,000 km2 (4,200 sq mi) and they believe its topography was created "in the primordial dreamtime (gun-yung-ga-lung, 'times far past') by two creator figures, Gurangatch, a rainbow serpent, and Mirragañ, a quoll, when on a journey". #wentworthfalls #bluemountainsaustralia #TheJanuaryChallenge #64MillionArtists Rewind: redoing the i-spy challenge brought to you today by the letter P! Day 8 led to three further editions including this weeks 'disaster ' issue Day 29: revisited I have loved all the challenges but I loved the day we played games as it was so engaging. My new game is called 'smile'. Please post below a picture of you smiling or just something that makes you smile. Let's fill our feeds with happy things. Here's mine. I'm usually behind the camera and certainly rubbish at selfies. Luckily this one was taken by a pro - Gok Wan, such a lovely guy. 29/1/18 Rewind. I joined the challenge late so have gone back to day 3 Blurb it out. Last year I had printed my book of short stories to sell to raise money for Parkinson's uk as I have that condition. Here are the covers x #TheJanuaryChallenge #64MillionArtists #day29 I decided to design another postcard because the last one was a bit rushed. I did three designs and then couldn't decide which one to use! I live near the historic churches. A warrior princess (Aethelfleda) once built a castle on that hill. :) #TheJanuaryChallenge Rewind still playing with compacts as castanet ensemble #64MillionArtists #performance Day 29: Rewind. This challenge really had me stumped. I wanted my drawing to look like an actual animal...yet also be recognizably me. Everything I sketched just looked like a reject Ninja Turtles villain...so I gave up that idea and went for a stylized doodle of myself in unicorn jammies! ✏ It didn't say the animal couldn't be mythical...besides humans already are animals... ✏ #thejanuarychallenge #64millionartists #hearmeroar #unicornsuit #betterlatethannever #1000thpost #whpsmile @64M_Artists @elaru #64MillionArtists #TheJanuaryChallenge Day 28: postcard from home.. well more like postcard from my room, it was one of those days.. Day 28 of #TheJanuaryChallenge - No place like home Tremor bad today, legs even worse, loss complete use of my right hand side for nearly an hour, so not much chance for me going out about today.. the most I saw of my home village was my bedroom, so here's a postcard fearuring art/photography/other stuff that decorates my room.. made by friends (except the books, they're mine).. Depict your spirit animal was a prompt for #thejanuarychallenge #64millionsartist and I decided to draw on the observational drawing techniques taught by @drawingyourownpath this week as well as @janesvisionstudios suggestion to try drawing from others artist's work. This drawing/painting of the Bee Hummingbird (see second image) was included in the book 'Astonishing Animals' by Tim Flannery and Peter Schouten. Look it up - it's beautiful. I picked up on some of the colours included in the original drawing and completed a number of blind contour studies on top of one another (see first image).
