My challenge to you is to design /create a maze puzzle...drawn, painted, embroidered, fashioned from food or objects...the world's your oyster! . Day 30 #TheJanuaryChallenge #64MillionArtists #64MillionArtists #TheJanuaryChallenge Day#29 Re-do: a HomeTown PostCard - RUGBY Day 30 - Your Turn Share one of your favourite paintings and describe why you like it. Mine is Edward Hopper's 'The Hotel Room' , I love his paintings as they often capture a moment which could inspire a story. This one makes me wonder where the woman is and what she's waiting for, I love how the artist has captured the light. I enjoyed seeing the painting in real life in Madrid a few years ago after seeing it in books. Now your turn, what's your favourite painting? Day 30: childhood memories, wearing Dad's hats, with my sister (on the trike) and Beans the cat. Must have been about 1956ish #day 29 Rewind. Another go at black out poetry using my Uke music. Today's #thejanuarychallenge is to set a challenge of my own. My challenge is entitled "Who are you?" and it is to create a coat of arms for you or your family. You can use words to describe your coat of arms, or you could draw or paint it or even cut images out of papers/magazines to create a collage... Does your coat of arms contain only things that are important to all members of your family, or have you included individual items for each family member? Does it include a family motto? . If anyone would like to complete my challenge, that would be marvellous. You could leave a comment describing your coat of arms, or post a picture of it (please tag me). If you don't want to share it with everyone, you could send it to me on a DM. If I get any responses, I will post a collage of the results (I won't say whose they are if you don't want me to!) . If no-one else has a go, I will be forced to make my son do it when he gets in from school - he probably won't be happy about it! . #takepityonben #itsyourturn #overtoyou #creativetuesday #yourfamily #heraldry #coatofarms #whoareyou #64millionartists Challenge Day 30 - I would like to challenge you all to select an artistic “Table for Twelve” who would you invite to inspire you? As I’m going, my 11 choices would be Michelangelo, Amy Winehouse, Rudolf Nureyev & Margot Fonteyn, Banksy, Victoria Woods, Audrey Hepburn, Tom Sharpe, Elvis Presley, Morgan Freeman and Alessandra Facchinetti. I think I’d be treated to lots of laughs, great tales and hopefully get a tune or two and a wee dance . I chose this as the venue, I set up extra chairs, so you can move about to chat to all these fascinating people. ( + Room to dance after dinner ) So over to you lovely people. There are definitely some similarities to me. Guess the theme.... #64millionartists #thejanuarychallenge Really loved Blackout Dialogue, so was glad to rewind to this one - taken from the February programme for The Barbican. And this one's really got me thinking about conversations we should be having, and the people I regularly see on my way home. Stars, changing this spark. Conversation challenge, community responding to change. Influenced possibilities - young makers, right? New messengers, homelessness formed new dialogue - see? Day 29 #TheJanuaryChallenge #64Million Artists 'Rewind' Blackout Poem again! I like making something out of a few odd words here and there and hopefully it makes sense - taken from the first page of Maeve Binchy's 'Nights of Rain and Stars' Today I tried something new again and ordered the first book that Amazon recommended to me rather than doing the usual and researching for hours on what to read next. It’s called ‘The heart goes last‘ year Margaret Atwood - have you guys read it? Day 26 - Spirit Animal - “ I'm sure at one point or another we've all thought about what animal we would be in another life... Today we'd like you to draw yourself as an animal. Maybe it's your favourite animal, your alter-ego or an animal that you think represents your traits and skills.“ I love owls, they are definitely my spirit animal as I’m always more active at night, I look a bit like one with my glasses and and I’d love to be as wise and silently stealthy as one! #64millionartists #thejanuarychallenge. Something #creative everyday #owl Day 26 - Spirit Animal - “ I'm sure at one point or another we've all thought about what animal we would be in another life... Something #creative everyday #owl @64M_Artists Day 29. More a catch up of day 27 than a re-visit. #TheJanuaryChallenge #64MillionArtists Day 29 64MillionArtists...They are all my favourites, but the one I found most fun was blackout words to get to true message...The Guardian last Saturday...Donald Trump makes his speech at the World Economic Forum, where he declared: "There has never been a better time to grow Donald Trump". Donald Trump used a speech in Davos to accuse some members of the normally respectful audience of hissing. Speaking to a packed hall, he boasted of entering the White House and growing weaker than had been expecting. The world is witnessing a simple message. Trump was "open to biased interpretations". Trump insisted the U.S. was committed to wooing Trump. "Only by hearing the voices of loyal people, on 80 occasions over the past year" Trump added "I flourish as never before". Trump insisted that "we are making historic investments in rogue regimes. Our common security requires 'billionaires first'"... #challengeday29 #64millionartists #TheJanuaryChallenge rewind to day 11... try something new.... trying to see the world through crochet specs it's a bit fuzzy. #64millionartist #January challenge day 29 rewind I cant remember the day but it was the news break one hear ye hear ye my first one was sad sooo here's my new one.. I will use a random number generator to select the winner out of the people who heart this post. I'm happy to send it anywhere in the world. The prompt today for #thejanuarychallenge #64millionartists is to give something away. This is the drawing I started for the 'create a magic potion' prompt. I finished it in the early hours of the morning after getting up to sync up with the USA for the #drawingyourownpath course. According to wikihow, when casting a spell you begin by stating your intention and considering the cycle of the moon. I divided the paper into 8 circles because there are 8 phases of the moon. The moon is currently in waxing gibbous which is a good time for 'letting go' spells so it seems particularly apt to let this drawing go. I thought about leaving it in a library book for someone to find (something I've been doing with my previous sticky note drawings) but I since I feel quite attached to it, I decided to make sure it ends up in a good home Day 29 #TheJanuaryChallenge #64MillionArtists Rewind to Day 11: New Year, New Challenge, do something you've not done before. Well I feel very smug for reconstructing this cube, a challenge none have been able to master since it was first taken apart on Boxing Day 2017. Result! Day 29: Rewind. I really enjoyed my first attempt at origami back on day 10, so thought I’d have another go Day 29 #TheJanuaryChallenge #64MillionArtists Rewind to Day 11 - New Year, New Challenge, to do something you've not done before...well I am very pleased with myself for reconstructing this cube, a challenge none have been able to master since it was first taken apart on Boxing Day 2017. This time a quote from Gandi. “You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” Well I decided to do the quote challenge again. This time a quote from my favourite book #64millionartists #januarychallenge The castle day revisited... this is Castle Kindling. In the second picture, the good ship Kindling Spirit has run aground nearby. Gifted. So inspired this is the start of a Network. A group. A month of giving. Come find me. Join. Do. Share. Give. Day 29 - Rewind: Five photos with a theme. Not my absolute favourite, but one which I enjoyed and which was easy to recreate on a day when I've been a bit snowed under. The theme: Cross-stitched cards. I made the stitches in 2015, when I did a cross-stitch design a day to raise money for five local charities. Am now making them up into cards to raise money for yet another local charity :) Challenge 19 - changed a wee bit, my name and the crick in my neck have gone by now..
